Why subscribe?

I think there’s a gap in the market for in-depth coverage of rugby union in general and Leicester Tigers in particular.

Fewer and fewer of us are buying local newspapers and while the quality of journalism is often still high, you have to wade through any number of disruptive ads to get there.

Yes there are other long-form rugby publications out there and we are all finding our way towards a new means of delivering rugby journalism.

But coming from local media, I believe in a narrower focus.

I hope this will be worth your consideration. This is something I’m doing independent of my work with the BBC who have no editorial say in this newsletter. But it will reflect my views and of course, what I can find out..

The aim is to launch every Wednesday, depending on commitments and I hope there will be times for extra editions, such during Six Nations and World Cups.
