When I read the headline I thought we had signed “Su Pollard”. A return to the holiday camp signings of yesteryear.

But no. I feel this signing represents a sea change in recruitment. Whatever you think of his injury record or time in Montpellier he’s a class act and if he has turned down telephone numbers in Japan to come to us, that says something. Maybe the Japanese wanted him to prioritise them over SA. Who can tell

Really underwhelmed by the prospect of Pollard. I gather that Montpellier didn’t offer him a new contract ‘because he failed to make the desired impact’. Hardly a ringing endorsement, but obviously good enough for us?!!

For me, the Jury is out. He'll really need to impress in the games he plays as he will miss so many others. Wonder who SB has in mind to step up when Pollard is not playing?

GF has definitely come good and will be very difficult to replace especially as he is no longer away with England. Big boots to fill. Wonder if his big mate Lenny will follow him to Sale?

Can’t say I’m a fan of the recruitment of Pollard. Form blows hot and (very) cold and, in my eyes, has an inferior skill set to George Ford even at his best. And that is before you get to his injury record and the fact that we will see very little of him in a Tigers jersey. He has been a long way from a success at Montpellier. Would have much preferred (as rumoured) Lozowski, a player that played 10 in beating us in a European final last year, or a young upcoming talent (eg Finn Smith).

Good stuff again. Nervous but hopeful for this weekend 😉

If Pollard is anywhere near as good as Stransky (and he probably is), then we have a gem. But we need a back up, Burns et al will have to step quickly as mentioned, he's going to be away with SA quite a lot. Looking forward to seeing him in Tigers colours

Pretty much agree with your analysis of this week's game Chris. Looking forward to watching Fordy schooling The Hype again.

Another great WRW thanks Chris. I agree about Quins we should have enough power to snuff them out, but that is what I thought Exeter would do in last years final, hope we don't get sucked into playing their game like they did just stick to what we are and what we do vest. Just listened to our Captain and Freddie Steward on a pod cast, there is really something building at Tigers even more exciting times to come I think .
